How do I clean the espresso machine?Updated 16 days ago
To keep your MyBlend Portable Espresso Machine fresh and working well over time, we recommend cleaning it after each use.
Always let the machine cool down before disassembling or cleaning it.
How to clean the espresso machine:
- Turn off the machine and disconnect the USB-C cable if it is plugged in.
- Remove the water tank, brewing chamber and filter or capsule adapter.
- Dispose of the used capsule or coffee grounds.
- Rinse the removable parts with warm water and mild dish soap.
- Clean around seals and threads so no coffee residue is left behind.
- Wipe the machine itself with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Let the parts air dry before assembling the machine again.
Never immerse the machine itself in water. It contains electronics, and it is important that no liquid enters the charging port or buttons.
Do not use strong cleaning products, abrasive sponges or solvents. The removable parts should not be cleaned in a dishwasher unless this is clearly stated on the part.
To maintain good flow and taste, the machine should also be descaled regularly. We recommend descaling about every two to three months, or more often if you live in an area with hard water.
Only use food-safe descaling products designed for coffee machines, such as citric acid or lactic acid based descalers. Do not use vinegar, bleach or regular household cleaners.
If the coffee starts flowing more slowly, the taste changes or the machine becomes harder to seal, it may be a sign that it needs a more thorough cleaning or descaling.
